On May 16, 2019 the Colorado Department of Natural Resources / Colorado Water Conservation Board released an executive summary entitled: 2019 Flood Season is Approaching. While the South Platte River basin is not the State’s greatest flooding concern this year, temperature and precipitation outlooks suggest that streamflows from snowmelt runoff in the Denver/Boulder region will be much higher than last year.
